The new SALTO from API Locksmiths is the latest in wireless access control systems designed to deliver cost benefits to the user.
The new Yarra Valley Grammar Maths and Science school recently set the benchmark for advanced security by installing SALTO on the premises. Opened by Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove, the building features a standalone system that offers a flexible, secure and convenient alternative to outdated key control systems.
SALTO wireless access control systems deliver a cost-effective solution to the education segment. For instance, the wireless SALTO eliminates the extensive wiring required for every door in traditional access control systems. The wireless system also eliminates the perpetual cost of rekeying.

Schools that have yet to upgrade to an electronic solution have little control over how many keys have been issued or are in use.
Security being an important aspect of school management, schools in particular realise the importance of prevention over response. SALTO’s report capabilities let authorities know whether the doors are locked or unlocked, and allows them to control who can enter the building and when.
Based on the latest in electronic access control technology, SALTO provides real-time communication with state-of-the art battery powered escutcheons. The battery also cuts down on energy costs as it does not need to be permanently connected to a main power source.
According to Yarra Valley Grammar School Facilities Manager Mr Peter Tiberi, the school sought a holistic, cost-effective and user-friendly solution to secure their unique facility. Following a comparative research, the school selected SALTO as the most efficient system in terms of security, operation and cost. API Locksmiths completed the installation easily across the building.
